The church is meant to BOTH “do the work of the gospel” and “believe the truth of the gospel.” The truth of Christ includes:

1. Christ is God in bodily form.
2. Through Christ God buried our body of flesh and raised us up through faith
3. We demonstrate our faith in Christ’s death and resurrection through baptism
4. Baptism is NOT the covenant, but the mark of the covenant
