Remember the themes of Colossians: 1) Jesus ALONE is the truth; 2) Our hope is heavenly, bearing earthly fruit; 3) False teaching is dangerous

So how do we bear earthly fruit? Paul tells us in these verses that:

1. We bear fruit in HOW we do more than WHAT we do (Verse 17, 23)
2. This begins in the family, and moves to all other aspects of life (Verse 18-22)
3. Bearing earthly fruit does NOT ensure earthly reward
4. Bearing earthly fruit DOES ensure heavenly reward
